Allow this plant to  finish blooming naturally each spring before trimming or mowing to allow the seeds to mature and spread for germination next spring.

Since this is more of a re-seeding annual, and not true perennial do not use pre-emergent fertilizer in the bed areas or this will not allow the new seedlings to sprout. 

Once established this beauty is easy and care free.
