Snaps can tolerate a frost or freeze so setting them out early is not a problem.
In fact the more of a head start they get before the heat sets in the better off they enjoy it.
Trim spent blooms and plants during summer heat to help these survive the summer months. for a spring plant , full sun is ideal.
For a plant that tries to make it through the summer and fall and area that gets some protection from our afternoon sun would be better.
>At times snaps will find that perfect spot that they love, if this is the case, they can remain spring summer fall and winter for several years.
