Name: Petunia |
||
Sightly fragrant. Frost tolerant. Bazillions of brilliant colored blooms. Available for early spring planting. And when planted in mass groupings there is nothing more show stopping than a bed of Petunia for the spring to make them one of the most widely used annuals here in North Texas. Get petunias planted early and well established in organically rich well drained fertile soil before the summer heat to help them survive our summers. They Prefer the cooler nights and warmer days of spring and early summer, but with a little care they can endure the heat. Giving the plants a well needed trim and pruning when they begin to stretch from the heat, will aid the most. To trim them it is okay to remove as much as half the plant, it takes just over a week for them to re-flush and bloom again. Fertilize on a regular basis, and make sure they have adequate water as the summer months turn on the burner. |
