The tall spikes of blue flowers on top of pale green-grey foliage are almost "blue bonnet" in appearance. Heat and sun loving, this plant stands up to our summers and makes a splash either in mass planting or as an  edge or back drop to other sun loving annuals. 

Although we have this salvia listed in the annual section,  it is pretty much a perennial for us, and comes back each year.
